In this season's French Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain has 68 points and is firmly in the lead, but coach Luis Enrique believes that they cannot call themselves champions until the last moment.
Paris Saint-Germain will play away against Saint-Etienne in the 27th round of the French Ligue 1. At the press conference before the game, Enrique said: "This game will be different from our home game."
"Saint-Thierry is a team with a long history, a great atmosphere in their stadium and great support from the fans. This will be a challenge we are looking forward to. I hope to see a great game. I admire their performance, they play well and are good at high pressing, but we will play our way."
Although PSG could win the title ahead of schedule after the game, Enrique believes the team's goal is to remain competitive until the end of the season. "We have the possibility of winning on Saturday, but it's just a small episode," Enrique said.
"There are eight games left in the league and our goal is to stay in top form until the end of the season. We can't say we are champions until everything is settled."
"There are still many important games in the season and we must use this opportunity to continue to play at a high level and focus on the more macro or more specific goals."
The players who have participated in the international competitions have also returned to the club. Enrique revealed the players' condition: "The players are in good condition after returning, and they are at a good level both mentally and physically."
"This is a united team and everyone works well together. We are getting closer to our goals and this is very satisfying. The players are also enjoying this working atmosphere."
