Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi said his team's hard work paid off as they beat Fulham 3-0 to book their place in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Crystal Palace's performance at Craven Cottage was outstanding, with the visitors recording their second win at the stadium in as many months. Eberechi Eze opened the scoring with a fine solo goal, before goals from Ismaila Sarr and Eddie Nketiah rounded off the game.
Fulham soon created the better chances in the first 20 minutes as the team needed to be strong defensively, but Marc Guehi and his team-mates performed very well, laying the foundation for Eberechi Eze to turn the tide of the game.
Marc Guehi said: "In fact, Fulham had the advantage in the first 20 minutes, but we did not give up easily. Instead, we continued to go all out and played the game together. In the end, the result did not disappoint us and we got the reward we deserved."
"That's what we expect from Eberechi Eze and that's what we like about him. I tell him every day that he is one of the best players in the team. But it's not just about talking, it's about showing it with actions, and Eberechi Eze has done that."
‘It’s also credit to the manager and the staff, we’ve been working hard every day in training and they’ve been helping us make sure the team is prepared in the right way. I think we’ve all been leaders on the pitch in terms of communication and making sure people are organised and the toughness and character on the pitch is what we need.
Marc Guehi also said: "I am very happy to help the team. This is my responsibility. Although we didn't start well, we didn't give up. We did a lot of work on defense and finally won as we wished."
"We are performing well and we are confident in our quality. We will continue to work hard and show our resilience, which will take us far."
