Valve officially announced invited teams for the 2025 BLAST Austin Major..

Valve announced the list of invited teams for the Counter Strike 2 2025 BLAST Austin Major on its official website on Wednesday.

According to Valve's official statement, the invitation is based on the latest Valve Regional System (VRS) ranking as of April 7, 2025 (Monday).

This time, 32 teams from all over the world will compete in the BLAST Austin Major, and the playoffs will be held at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, USA.

According to the latest ranking at the time, French powerhouse Vitality led the ranking, and the other powerhouses MOUZ, Spirit, The MongolZ and Aurora became the teams occupying the top 5 positions.

16 teams have obtained direct invitations to participate in this tournament, of which 8 teams will enter the second stage, and the remaining 8 will directly advance to the third stage.

The direct invitation teams for this tournament will include 10 teams from the European region; 5 teams from the US region, and 1 team from Asia.

In addition, Valve also announced that some top teams from around the world will participate in the MRQ in each region between April 14 and 17 to compete for qualification to the first stage.

In this MRQ, the top 16 teams will qualify for the first stage.

Among them, PARIVISION is ranked 181st, the lowest ranked team in VRS, so it must enter the MRQ to qualify for the Austin Major.

The MRQ in each region will adopt the following qualification system:

European MRQ (6 slots out of 16)

South American MRQ (3 slots out of 8)

North American MRQ (3 slots out of 8)

China MRQ (2 slots out of 4)

Oceania MRQ (1 slot out of 4)

Asian MRQ (1 slot out of 4)
