Brentford completes contract extension with captain Christian Nørgaard..


Brentford announced on its official website on Saturday that the club has extended the contract of its captain, Denmark international defensive midfielder Christian Nørgaard.


According to Brentford's official statement, Nørgaard has signed on new a short-term two-year deal with the club which will contract with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.


After completing his contract extension procedures, Nørgaard, who was interviewed by Brentford's official website again, said: "I feel great. The negotiation process took a long time, but we finally reached an agreement, so I am very happy about it."

About Christian Nørgaard


Nørgaard, 31, was born on March 10, 1994 in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. He is 1.86 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.


Nørgaard joined the Lyngby youth academy since he was a child, and completed his Lyngby first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in November 2011.


In January of the following year, Nørgaard joined Hamburg for €400,000, but was only arranged to play for its reserve team.


In August 2013, Nørgaard joined Brøndby for €250,000.
