Guardiola is relieved as Manchester City advances to FA Cup semi-finals

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said his side's attitude this season has been disappointing after their FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth, but he was pleased with the players' bounce-back performance.
In this 2-1 comeback win, Haaland missed a penalty in the first half and Manchester City's overall performance was dull, just like the 1-2 loss to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium last November. However, in the second half, the team showed strong fighting spirit and finally achieved a comeback, breaking into the FA Cup semi-finals for the seventh consecutive year, setting a new record.
Guardiola made no secret of his criticism of the team's earlier attitude after the game: "Compared to the game we played here in November, we were like people on vacation in flip-flops. The opponents were playing, and we were on vacation. Today is different. We are a real team and dare to challenge. On the football field, you have to run, not just rely on tactics. Tactics are of course important, but what we lack this season is the fighting spirit, soul, and passion - these are the foundation of our success in the past years. As a coach, the most important thing for me is to get this passion back and get the soul back."
In this game, two substitute players Nico O'Leary and Omar Marmouch made great contributions to the team's counterattack, while veterans such as De Bruyne, B Silva and Gundogan dominated the second half and completely suppressed their opponents.
Guardiola said: "Our legendary players stepped up again and performed very well. I am very happy that we are back to Wembley again and reach the semi-finals for the seventh consecutive year. This is an incredible achievement."
However, he also revealed that top scorer Haaland was substituted in the second half due to a foot injury and his current injury status is still unclear.
Having advanced to the FA Cup semi-finals, Manchester City can temporarily turn their attention back to the Premier League, striving to finish in the top four and ensure a return to the Champions League next season.
