Alexander and White named NBA Players of the Month for March

The NBA officially announced that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chicago Bulls guard Coby White were named the Western and Eastern Conference Player of the Month for March.

The 26-year-old Alexander was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019 and has continued to perform well this season. In March, Alexander helped the team achieve an NBA-best 15-1 record, including a perfect 7-0 record on the road.

Alexander averaged 34.7 points per game in March, the highest scorer in the NBA that month. Alexander also contributed 7 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.14 steals. The Oklahoma City Thunder are currently in first place in the Western Conference and will advance to the playoffs as long as they maintain their form.

The 25-year-old White was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 7th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Since then, White has been one of the team's key players. In the March games, White averaged 27.7 points per game, ranking ninth in the NBA's March scoring list, and contributed 4.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

In addition, White also scored 20+ points in 15 consecutive games, breaking his personal record. On March 6, the Chicago Bulls defeated the Orlando Magic 124-123, and White scored 44 points, which was his career-high single-game score.
