According to a report by Sheep Esports on Saturday, Turkish esports club Sangal is seeking to enter the League of Legends arena. They plan to merge with the famous Serbian LOL team Partizan to form a new team Partizan Sangal.
The merged Partizan Sangal team will participate in the Balkan Esports League (EBL) and aim to advance to the League of Legends European, Middle East and African Champions League (LEC). Jovan Mihajlovic, chairman of the Partizan Esports Club, confirmed the news in an interview with Sheep Esports and said: "When communicating with Sangal's partners, we reached a consensus early on in terms of ambition, understanding of our own potential and motivation. The merger of Partizan and Sangal will achieve great things, and our goal is not limited to winning the EBL championship."
For both clubs, the merger means the combination of fan bases and the expansion of influence. Since its establishment in 2017, Sangal has accumulated a strong influence in the Turkish Counter-Strike (CS2) arena. As a well-known e-sports club in Serbia, Partizan has also achieved remarkable results in the League of Legends events. After the merger, Partizan Sangal plans to build a more competitive lineup and strive to make a breakthrough in the European arena.
