GamerLegion founder and CEO Nicholas Reiber released a statement on Saturday denying any rumors about selling players on the team.
Russian insider Alexei Birukov (ID: OverDrive) previously revealed that the American professional CS2 team 100 Thieves (100T) is interested in signing three members of GamerLegions to form a new lineup with Norwegian legend Horvad Nigeld (ID: rain).
Due to the impact of the pandemic, 100T was forced to withdraw from the CS scene in October 2020. Recently, there have been reports that they plan to return to the CS competitive scene.
In response to the report, Reber chose to clarify through the X platform. He wrote: "We spoke with 100 Thieves a few weeks ago about their plans to return to CS, but there has been no actual discussion about selling any players or core members at present."
Reber concluded, "We're focused on our existing team. Let's aim for third place at the PGL Bucharest Masters!"
However, GamerLegions failed to achieve their goal after Reber denied the allegations: they lost to SAW in this session and ultimately finished fourth. Next, GamerLegions will compete in the 2025 StarLadder Budapest Major.
The current roster for GamerLegions is as follows:
Commander/Rifleman: Eric Gustafsson (ID: ztr)
Rifleman: Sebastian Tauson Lindelof (ID: Tauson)
Rifleman: Aldrich Novy (ID: PR)
Rifleman/Sniper: Frederick Sterner (ID: REZ)
Sniper: Milan Polowitz (ID: hypex)
Coach: Ashley Batty (ID: ash)
Substitute: Henrich Hervey (ID: sl3nd)
Substitute: Jeremy Gas (ID: Kursy)
