After the 0-0 draw in the Manchester derby, Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish came on as a substitute in the 74th minute, but was suspected of being attacked after the game. A man has been arrested and formally charged by the police for allegedly attacking Grealish.
According to the Daily Mail, the incident occurred after the game at Old Trafford, when Grealish was attacked as he was walking towards the player tunnel, triggering a police investigation. Although neither Manchester United nor Manchester City commented when responding to the media, it is understood that Manchester United is actively cooperating with the police investigation.
Greater Manchester Police said in a statement on Monday: "Alfie Holt, of Haven Drive, has been charged with assault and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court in July. The charge relates to an incident which occurred at Old Trafford yesterday."
In this game, Manchester City failed to return to the top four of the Premier League. Grealish came off the bench but failed to change the score, and the team drew with Manchester United.
