Southampton sack coach Ivan Juric after early relegation

Ivan Juric was sacked by Southampton following their early relegation and Simon Rusk will be appointed as interim manager.

Southampton's performance in this season's game was disappointing. After Southampton lost 1-3 to Tottenham in the Premier League, Southampton had 10 points and ranked last in the Premier League standings.

There are only seven rounds left in the Premier League. Southampton has been relegated from the Premier League ahead of schedule, setting a record for the earliest relegation in Premier League history. It is also possible that it will break the lowest points in Premier League history.

In order to prevent Southampton from getting worse results, Southampton decided to fire Juric. Southampton officially issued a statement, writing: "We thank Juric and his coaching staff for their honesty and hard work in the relegation battle."

"Now that relegation is a foregone conclusion, we believe that providing clarity of direction to the fans, players and club staff is the first step in starting important summer preparations."

Juric took over Russell Martin's head coaching position in December last year, but he only won one game in 14 games and lost 12 games. Although Juric has coached many clubs in the past, he has not achieved outstanding results.

Before coaching Southampton, Juric briefly coached Serie A club Roma, but was fired after only six weeks due to poor performance. He then joined Southampton, and despite his efforts to lead the team to relegation, he still failed to change the team's fate and faced dismissal again.
