Looking forward to meeting Warsaw, Dewsbury-Hall hopes Chelsea can turn pressure into motivation

The "Blue Lions" Chelsea will travel to Poland to challenge Legia Warsaw of the Polish First League in the first round of the UEFA European Association League quarter-finals in the 2024/25 season. Chelsea midfielder Dewsbury Hall said that he is looking forward to coming to this away game again and hopes that the pressure faced by the team here will be transformed into another motivation.

In the second leg of the Europa League round of 16, Dewsbury-Hall contributed a goal for Chelsea, and Chelsea eventually eliminated Copenhagen with a total score of 3-1 and successfully advanced to the quarterfinals.

"The atmosphere there will definitely be great," said Dewsbury-Hall, 26. "I've been there before and the atmosphere is incredible, a really crazy home atmosphere, thanks to the Legia Warsaw fans. They will create a lot of pressure and get behind their team. But I think we can turn that into motivation because that's exactly the environment the players want to experience."

"The home fans are likely to be behind their team and I'm looking forward to experiencing that atmosphere again. It was a bit hostile back then, but it was positive. The Polish fans are very passionate and support for their team is genuine. I haven't experienced anything like it before, but that's the beauty of playing in European competitions, players are exposed to all kinds of different atmospheres."

Dewsbury-Hall also said, "I am very grateful for this experience, which helped me a lot in participating in the Premier League later. It allowed me to adapt to the different game environment in advance and get used to the scene of fans cheering throughout the stadium. This gave me a good foundation for me to continue to improve. Now I can come back and experience that feeling again, I am really happy."
