The Western European team AVULUS recently announced a major adjustment to its Dota 2 lineup, officially welcoming three new members: Fly, Mo13ei and dEsire.
At the same time, AVULUS's original captain SoNNeikO was moved to the inactive list, and Fly took over as captain, symbolizing a comprehensive change in the team's leadership.
Mo13ei and dEsire have been substitutes for AVULUS in ESL One Raleigh 2025 since April, and helped the team break into the top eight in a short period of time, with amazing performance. The two worked together briefly in Alliance in October 2024, showing excellent tacit understanding. This official promotion also naturally filled the vacancies of the team's No. 2 and No. 4 positions.
In comparison, Fly's joining is more explosive. He briefly replaced SoNNeikO in PGL Wallachia S4, and now he directly took over the baton, heralding a new chapter for AVULUS from a system centered on SoNNeikO to one led by Fly. Fly was active in MOUZ and Tundra Esports in the past, and has rich experience. This joining will inject stable command power into the team.
Although AVULUS was only established in August 2024, it has already achieved a top six result in ESL One Bangkok. However, the team's performance was unstable in early 2025, and after a series of losses, it ushered in personnel changes, hoping to rejuvenate.
The new lineup will debut at DreamLeague S26 on May 19th, competing for ESL Pro Tour points and accumulating strength for the Esports World Cup in July and TI 2025 in September.
AVULUS's new Dota 2 lineup is: Smiling Knight, Mo13ei, Xibbe, dEsire and Fly, with MAg- as the coach. The team will strive for world-class honors with a new look and meet the great challenge of destiny.
