Gen.G defeated KT Rolster 2-1, with only one game left to achieve a perfect record

In a fierce three-game match, Gen.G defeated their arch-rival KT Rolster 2-1, improving their record in the 2024 LCK Spring Regular Season to an astonishing 17 wins and 0 losses, with only one game left to achieve the epic "unbeaten" feat.

As the champion of the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), Gen.G is currently the only team that still has a chance to challenge T1's undefeated regular season record set in the 2022 Spring Split - a legendary achievement that has not been replicated by any team to date.

This matchup made fans sweat for Gen.G for a while. KT Rolster won and lost with them in the first two games, forcing the series into a deciding game.

In the final game, KT Rolster chose a lineup that was more focused on late-game operations and teamfights - Yorick, Monkey, Sylas, Varus and Leona, hoping to gain an advantage through mid-game map control and small-scale teamfights. However, Gen.G relied on more precise map control and rhythm control to prevent KT from finding single-point breakthrough opportunities many times.

Gen.G controlled most of the neutral resources and reversed the situation in two key dragon fights. Especially after the last dragon steal, Gen.G quickly assembled to complete a smooth and highly coordinated team fight, directly destroying the KT base and securing the victory.
