Official: Lakers waive Quincy Olivari and sign Trey Jamison to a two-way contract


The Los Angeles Lakers announced Wednesday that they have signed Trey Jamison to a two-way contract. Per team policy, the specific details of the contract are not disclosed.


At the same time, the Lakers waived guard Quincy Olivari, who had limited playing time, to make room for Jamison's arrival.


Trey Jamison, 25, plays center and played for the Clemson Tigers and UAB Trail Blazers men's basketball team during college. He was selected to the U.S. All-Defensive Team for two consecutive years (2021/2022) and Selected to the American League All-Third Team in 2023.


In October 2023, after being undrafted by the NBA, Jamison joined the New Orleans Pelicans' G League affiliate, the Birmingham C's. He then moved to the Washington Wizards, Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans, during which time he played in 41 NBA regular season games, averaging 1.3 points per game. 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds.
