Official: PGL Belgrade will be moved to Bucharest in 2025

The Professional Gamers League (PGL) recently announced that the PGL Belgrade station originally scheduled to be held in Serbia this year will be moved to the PGL studio in Bucharest, Romania.

The 2025 PGL Belgrade is a first-level event in the CS2 annual schedule and is scheduled to be held from October 25 to November 2. At that time, 16 teams will be invited according to their VRS ranking order to compete for a total prize of US$1.25 million.

Due to "unexpected logistical issues", the PGL organizers finally decided to move the event to Bucharest. Through a statement, PGL said: "We remain confident in the PGL event system and are committed to presenting an unforgettable viewing experience for players and spectators. Although we were unable to hold the event in Serbia this time, we look forward to returning to the local area in the near future."

This is the second time that PGL has adjusted the venue of its event this year. In February this year, PGL's Krakow station, originally scheduled for 2027, also fell through due to venue booking issues. The venue was later confirmed to be pre-booked by ESL to host the future IEM Katowice station (now renamed "IEM Krakow Station").
