Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has reiterated the importance of captain Reece James to the club and said the player will be well looked after during his recovery.
Reece James played 45 minutes in the FA Cup against Morecambe, returning from a hamstring injury and showing his quality against Bournemouth in the Premier League. Reece James' performance was a reminder of his ability to change a game, and manager Enzo Maresca knows there is more to come from the player.
Enzo Maresca said: "Reece James is of course important, but at this moment he may even be more important. Reece James is a very important player for us because he is our captain and we know he is very good.
"Reece James hasn't been in great shape since we started playing but he's better now and we're delighted to have him back."
"For Reece James, it's not a question of whether he scores or how many minutes he plays, it's a question of whether he can control his situation, so we'll see. Of course, if Reece James plays 45 minutes, it means he's ready for the game against Wolves."
"But we don't want to see Reece James get injured again. We have been trying to help Reece James since we started and we are doing the same thing now."
