Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva admits they are out of the race for the Premier League title this season.
Although City got back on track with a 2-0 win over Leicester City in their final game of 2024, it was only their second win in their last 14 games in all competitions.
Due to a decline in form, Manchester City is currently ranked sixth, 14 points behind top-placed Liverpool, who have one game less.
"I'm not following Liverpool," Bernardo told Sky Sports News.
"I'm sixth in the league and I can't think about Liverpool or Arsenal. I'm just focusing on the next game and trying to get the three points."
"Now, I'm not going to say it's impossible, because nothing is impossible in football, but for now, City are completely out of the title race, there's no doubt about that. It’s too late.”
“People always say you can’t win the league before January but you can lose your chance of winning it before then. The reality this season is that we’ve lost our chance.
