BLAST.tv revoke paiN's Open London direct invitation, spot will be filled by Imperial..


BLAST.tv announced on Wednesday through its official Twitter account that they has revoked Brazilian team paiN's direct invitation to the BLAST Open London, with Imperial filling their spot.


According to BLAST.tv's official statement, paiN declined the direct invitation to the BLAST Premier Open Season 2 South American Closed Qualifiers. According to Valve's official tournament rules, 3.2.5 (c), teams that have previously declined invitations to the same event are ineligible. Therefore, they are ineligible to participate in this Open.


On the other hand, Legacy had originally earned a direct invitation to the Open London though winnning the BLAST Premier Open Season 2 South American Closed Qualifiers, but with paiN's invitation revoked, their spot will be filled by the former.


The vacant direct invitation will be given to Imperial, the runner-up in the BLAST Premier Open Season 2 South American Closed Qualifiers.


It is worth noting that paiN was originally invited to the Open London to replace Aurora, who was forced to withdraw due to a schedule conflict.


The BLAST Open London will begin with an online stage on August 27, 2025, culminating in the offline finals at the OVO Wembley Arena in London, UK, from September 5-7. Sixteen teams will compete for a share of a $330,000 prize pool.


This Counter Strike 2 tournament will feature a single-elimination, best-of-three (Bo3format to determine a single spot in the online group stage.
