Ukrainian team Passion UA completely reorganizes its CS2 lineup

Ukrainian esports club Passion UA announced that it has parted ways with its current Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster, officially launching a restructuring plan and opening a new chapter for the remaining 2025 schedule.

According to the official announcement, Woro2k and Topa have left the team, while Jackasmo, DemQQ, and Kvem have been relegated to the bench. The team emphasized on social media: "This is not the end of the story, but the beginning of a new journey." This also means that Passion UA will continue with the Counter-Strike 2 project.

The disbanded players played for the team for eight months. The roster was formed between January and April of this year, around the time Fnatic signed former main players fear and jambo.

During this period, Passion UA ranked 36th in the Valve Standings (VRS) in August, just one step away from the top 32. The team also won the Glitched Masters 2025 offline tournament in June by defeating Fnatic in the finals.

However, their success didn't extend to online competition. Passion UA was eliminated in the Round of 32 of the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Closed Qualifiers. They subsequently suffered losses at the Thunderpick World Championship Europe #2 and ESL Challenger League Season 50, failing to qualify for further offline events.

This series of setbacks clearly accelerated the decision to restructure the roster. Currently, competition for the top 32 points spots is fierce, directly impacting qualification for the StarLadder Budapest Major in November. Passion UA's restructuring goal is to regain the competitive form that brought them LAN tournament victories and high rankings earlier this year.
