Dyrachyo, who once dominated the Dota 2 scene, recently shared his thoughts in a documentary about why he gradually left the professional scene.
Dyrachyo said that at some point, gaming goes from being a hobby to becoming a burden, even like a boring job. He said bluntly, "Eventually, it becomes like a job. One day, you realize you can't stay any longer. Dota will become the same kind of prison."
Dyrachyo believes that hobbies don't necessarily have to bring tangible benefits. Citing his own experience, he admitted that he spent several years aimlessly playing games, only to find his direction after joining a team that truly helped him grow.
"I don't know how many people want to play like me. I play games the same way I play life: for fun, which doesn't always lead to benefits. After two or three years of ineffective gaming, I joined a team that showed me my potential and taught me a lot of things that will benefit me for a long time," Dyrachyo added.
Therefore, Dyrachyo emphasizes the importance of personal choice. He believes that players should not blindly pursue the achievements of others, but instead focus on themselves and think about what kind of development is best for them.
In fact, Dyrachyo had previously publicly stated that he decided to leave the professional gaming scene because he had lost his love for the game. After leaving, he also tried a new direction. He released his own independent game on Steam. Although it received mixed reviews from fans, it undoubtedly marked the beginning of a new phase in his life.
