Omar Marmouche is delighted to join Manchester City and is looking forward to starting his new journey at the club

Manchester City have signed Omar Marmouche on a four-and-a-half-year contract, with the striker saying it is an honour to join the club and he is looking forward to starting a new chapter at the club.  

Omar Marmouche moved to Manchester City from Frankfurt and has made a great impact on Frankfurt in the past two seasons. Omar Marmouche said: "I am very happy to be here at Manchester City, one of the biggest clubs in the world in the past 10 years."  

"The club was interested in me and it's an honour for me to be here. The last two seasons have been great but this is just a new beginning for me. My family and I are very happy and my dream has come true."

Omar Marmouche is a prolific and quick goalscorer with the ability to control the ball from close range. Other attributes of his character include tactical versatility and adaptability, allowing him to be deployed in a number of positions across the front three.  

Omar Marmouche said: "I have played in many positions. When I was in the national team, I played on the left wing most of the time. In my previous club, I played as a number 9, sometimes as a number 10, and sometimes as a number 8. I also played on the right wing, so I think I can play in all positions. However, I feel most comfortable in the forward position of number 10."  

"Nevertheless, wherever I play, I will try to do my best to help the team. I would say that my goal is that I always want to win. I have good pace on the pitch, I control the ball well and I try to find spaces and exploit them."
