Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim admits team not at their best

Manchester United beat Rangers 2-1 in the Europa League, but manager Ruben Amorim admitted his side are yet to play at their best.

In the 90 minutes of regular time, the two teams tied 1-1. However, Bruno Fernandes scored the winning goal in the stoppage time to help Manchester United win. In the press conference after the game, Amorim said about the result of the game: "Winning is winning."

"Of course, when you feel we deserved the win and you were so close to the second goal and it was equalised, there is a bad feeling in the moment. But we managed to score again and it was a good feeling, you could feel the atmosphere and the sound was great. It was a good win today."

When asked by reporters whether the result was more important than the performance, Amorim replied: "I think it's a combination of both. Of course, we haven't played at our best yet, we are still far from that level, but we have improved from the last game."

"I know the opponents are different, the tempo is different, everything is different. But they tried their best and you could see the passing, the movement and some coordination again. I think we did a good job in the time we trained. It's just that we need to be more decisive in the key moments because that would help us a lot."
