Summoner's Cup unveiled, World Championship music lineup announced

On September 20th , the 2025 League of Legends World Championship will return to Chengdu, China. Riot Games announced that the event will be a key component of the 15th anniversary celebrations for League of Legends esports. The newly designed Summoner's Cup will be unveiled, and the theme song for this year's championship will be performed by Chinese singer GEM Deng Ziqi.

The revamped Summoner's Cup retains its classic design while being nearly halved in weight, making it easier for players to hold. The trophy's base remains seven inches tall and is engraved with the names of the 14 previous champion teams. It was escorted to Chengdu Dong'an Lake Sports Park by official partner Mercedes-Benz.

The theme song music video performed by Deng Ziqi will be released in October, focusing on legendary players, classic teams, and unforgettable moments from the competition, paying tribute to the legacy of the finals since 2011. She said that the fighting spirit displayed by the players resonated deeply with her, and she hoped to convey this strength to players around the world through music.

At the opening ceremony on the championship day, Deng Ziqi will perform alongside electronic artist Anyma , singer TEYA , and Chrissy Costanza, who previously performed "Legends Never Die" and "Phoenix" at the Grand Finals. The performance will blend music, storytelling, and cutting-edge stage effects, making it a highlight of the competition's 15th anniversary.

Chris Greeley, Head of Esports at Riot Games, stated that this finals is more than just a competition; it's a tribute to the 15-year history of esports. League of Legends has grown into the world's most watched esports arena, and Chengdu will once again witness a historic moment for players and fans.
