French League of Legends powerhouse Kamine Corp (KC) announced on Tuesday via its official X (Twitter) account that its assistant coach, Apples, has been suspended for investigation following allegations of sending sexually suggestive messages to female fans.
According to KC's official statement, the club was aware of screenshots of Apples's obscene messages circulating online and reiterated that his behaviour was "seriously inconsistent with the professional ethics and values endorsed by the club". As a result, Apples has been suspended from all positions and they will be conducting an internal investigation into all allegations.
KC also expressed gratitude for the willingness to allow the club to thoroughly investigate the matter through appropriate legal channels and for respecting the privacy of the victim for not cyberbullying her until the full truth is revealed.
Furthermore, according to foreign media outlet Esports Insider, this isn't the only controversial incident involving Apples.
According to reports, former Heretics bot-lane player and current streamer Jackspektra accused Apples of betraying him by privately messaging both teams he was interested in joining, and informing them that he had declined to join.
Later, Apples brought familiar teammates to join the same team Jackspektra had originally intended to join.
Jackspektra criticized Apples for his selfish desires, saying he was simply trying to sabotage someone else's career.
At the same time, Hebibrows, the owner of his former team, Zero Tenacity, also accused Apples of match-fixing.
On the evening of September 28th, a prominent KC fan on X, who goes by the username RDM, posted several screenshots of Apples' chats with female fans.
In the screenshots, Apples engaged in sexually suggestive banter with these fans, even sending them messages containing the sexually suggestive phrase "peaches and bananas".
After the incident broke, KC immediately drew criticism from netizens, and Apples deleted his personal X account due to the influx of negative comments.
