Dota 2 player Ceb admits that money or fame is not the motivation for persisting until now

In a recently released interview, Dota 2 legendary player Ceb candidly shared his real motivation for sticking with e-sports for many years.

Ceb said that he initially embarked on the path of a professional player out of his love for the game itself, but what really supported him to go further was his strong desire to defeat the strongest players and become one of the top players.

In the interview, Ceb said: "At first, my motivation was just because I really loved Dota 2. I had the opportunity to compete with top players, but I couldn't beat them. It was this gap that kept me going."

"Until one day I realized that I might not only be able to fight against them, but even defeat them and become one of them. That possibility itself is a great driving force."

"Money and fame have never been the reason why I persisted. If that was the goal, I would have given up long ago. This road is too hard and requires too much sacrifice. You must have a real reason to keep going. And the hardest thing is that when you set a goal, you can never guarantee that you will succeed."

This speech not only once again demonstrated Ceb's mentality as a champion player, but also conveyed a valuable message to young players. The real source of motivation is often not external incentives, but the deep desire and persistence for excellence.

Currently, Ceb is no longer active in the Dota 2 professional arena. Instead, he has joined SRG.OG, an MLBB team jointly established by OG and Malaysia's Selangor Red Giants, as technical director and continues to shine in the e-sports field.
