Counter Strike 2: OG benched AWP-er nicoodoz and In-Game Leader Chr1zN..

German Counter Strike 2 club OG announced on Thursday via their official X (Twitter) account that the team's AWP-er nicoodoz and In-Game Leader Chr1zN have been benched, effective immediately.

According to OG's official statement, these decisions were not easy, and the club is very grateful for the contributions of both players to the team, as well as wishing nicoodoz and Chr1zN all the best for the future.

Following their benching, Chr1zN wrote on his personal official X account: "We (nicoodoz and I) agree that this is the best time to move in another direction, and I will actively seek new opportunities to prepare for next season."

The benching of nicoodoz and Chr1zN continues OG's recent never-ending roster change turmoil.

They represent another roster change since adamb and arozdoce joined the team in July.

However, the news of nicoodoz and Chr1zN's benching came as a surprise to many.

nicoodoz has the highest rating (1.11) among the entire OG roster; Chr1zN is one of the top-performing young In-Game Leaders in the Counter Strike 2 esports scene.

Coach Lambert even publicly stated last month that he greatly admired Chr1zn's leadership and believed in the team's potential.

HLTV speculated that the benching of nicoodoz and Chr1zn was likely related to OG missing out on an invitation to the Starladder Budapest Major.

Perhaps realizing the growing speculation, OG reiterated that this did not mean the club would completely withdraw from the CS2 esports scene, but rather that they were preparing to build a stronger and more stable team for the future.
