The new League of Legends champion, Yaheng, will be officially released on November 20th with patch 25.23.

In the vast universe of League of Legends, the legend of the Darkin begins a new chapter. Following Aatrox, Kayn, Noxus, and Naafiel, the fifth Darkin hero — Ahan, the Undying Blade —makes a stunning debut. Unlike the other Darkin who succumbed to madness and corruption, Ahan resisted his inner decay with reason and willpower. Legend has it that, in his fear of self-destruction, he sealed his soul within the Crescent Blade, slumbering for a thousand years, until the Demacian warrior Xin Zhao chose to become its host in a desperate situation. In the cinematic "The Choice of Destiny," Xin Zhao and Ahan's wills merge, together slaying the demon Etahan— this destiny of sacrifice and symbiosis becomes the emotional core of the version .  

From a mechanics perspective, Yaheng is a top lane warrior who excels in prolonged battles and possesses resurrection abilities. His passive skill, " Unyielding Will," forms the core of his gameplay : basic attacks or skill hits accumulate " Decisiveness" stacks , thereby increasing his attack power. Once the stacks are full, in addition to gaining additional buffs, Yaheng enters a brief state of stagnation upon receiving fatal damage, and revives after a few seconds. This effect has a cooldown of 120 to 300 seconds. With multiple crowd control abilities and excellent sustain, he demonstrates extremely strong resilience and survivability in team fights.  

According to the official announcement, Yaheng will officially debut on November 20, 2025, with version 25.23, along with the " Jade Sword Legend" series of golden-themed skins . Based on initial feedback from the PBE test server, players have differing opinions on his strength. Some believe Yaheng has the potential to be a "meta-defining" champion , while others worry that his resurrection passive and high sustain might disrupt the top lane balance. The design team stated that they will adjust the values appropriately based on test data, focusing on key parameters such as passive stacks and cooldown time.  

In terms of active skills, Yaheng's combat rhythm leans towards high-intensity offense. His Q skill, "Darkin Longsword," enhances basic attacks, unleashing a double-slash with a knock-up effect. His W skill, "Shadow Strike," allows Yaheng to dash forward and pull enemies back, creating opportunities for subsequent crowd control. His E skill, "Crimson Assault," grants him mobility and area-of-effect damage, allowing him to maintain an advantage during chases or trades. His ultimate skill, "Amnesty," combines offensive and defensive characteristics, granting damage reduction and restoring one-third of the damage dealt as health upon a leaping strike, showcasing exceptional control in team fights.  

On a narrative level , the *Destiny's Choice* CG not only depicts the grand scene of Xin Zhao and Aheng's consciousness merging, but also reveals a new chapter in the Darkin legend. Years ago, Aheng assisted Ionia in sealing Rhaast, forging a deep connection with the Order of the Shadow. Now, his union with the Demacian warrior Xin Zhao may become a crucial juncture where the fates of two great forces intertwine. Whether as a warrior or a symbol of " undying will ," Aheng's awakening reveals a truth— the boundary between light and darkness is being broken once again .
