Counter Strike 2: Amount involved in former G2 Chinese-American player Stewie2K's skin trading scam had reportedly exceeded $50,000..

Norwegian-American YouTuber Atozy revealed on his channel on Monday that more and more people have accused former G2 Chinese-American player Stewie2K of scamming them, with the amount involved exceeding $50,000.

According to Atozy, since skin trader MitaoCatCS reported him at the end of last month for allegedly being scammed out of nearly $30,000 in loans by Stewie2K, an increasing number of people online have come forward claiming to be victims as well.

Among them are xQc, not only the world's most famous game streamers, and another skin trader, juicy, who reported being scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by Stewie2K. A fan also claimed to be a victim on HLTV.

Atozy revealed that although the post was deleted by HLTV due to its sensitive nature, the victim has copied the original post to Reddit for further discussion.

According to the victim, he was originally a fan of Stewie2K.

Like MitaoCatCS, xQc, and juicy, he had borrowed a skin and money to Stewie2K. However, Stewie2K kept making excuses to avoid repaying the loan. Only after the scandal broke did he discover that Stewie2K had also scammed him with Photoshopped screenshots, and that the skin he lent had been borrowed to someone else without his permission.

What's most chilling is that even the person to whom the skin was originally intended to be resold to was scammed in the same way, turning the whole incident into a Ponzi scheme, with more and more people falling into Stewie2K's trap.

Although Stewie2K has consistently claimed it was a mistake and that he had Photoshopped the screenshot to explain the reasons that the victims had been "scammed," Atozy believes that he may have a gambling addiction, similar to jkaem, the former Norwegian BC.Game Entry Fragger who was previously reported for similar scams.

Atozy revealed that, based on evidences from X (Twitter) and Reddit users, Stewie2K had shown signs of habitual online gambling, even repeatedly posting screenshots of himself receiving sponsorships from gambling websites and winning money through online gambling.

These actions, like jkaem's, gradually led him to lose himself in the vice of online gambling addiction, and he is suspected of using the increasingly prevalent skin trading "Ponzi scheme" to pay off his huge gambling debts.

Atozy also added that he himself was a victim of a Counter Strike skin trading scam several years ago. Fortunately, he realized something was wrong early on, so his loss was only a few hundred dollars, but it was enough to teach him a valuable lesson and prevent him from ever getting involved in skin trading again.

Finally, Atozy expressed his deep sadness and pain at Stewie2K's actions, which, like jkaem's, have completely destroyed his reputation and achievements due to alleged scams.

He also advised fans, players, and game streamers to avoid getting involved in skin trading to avoid becoming another victim like xQc, who was scammed after lending money and skins to Stewie2K during the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Dallas and never receiving them back.
