Derby County have announced on their official website that centre-back Eiran Cashin will leave the club to join Premier League club Brighton.
The 23-year-old Cassin came from Derby County's youth training camp and signed a professional contract with the club, helping the team win the English U18 Premier League. In December 2021, Cassin made his first appearance as a first-team player for the club and became a regular starter for the team three months later.
Last season, Cashin played almost all of Derby County's league games. In this season's English Championship, Cashin played a key role for the team, making 22 appearances and scoring a goal in a match in December 2024 to help the team win. Cashin has played 144 times for Derby County and scored 6 goals.
After Brighton showed interest in Cousins, although Derby County made it clear that they wanted him to stay, Cousins' willingness and transfer fee became the best option for all parties. However, the transfer fee was not disclosed in the deal, and the contract period is until June 2030.
Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler was delighted with Cashin's arrival, saying: "We are delighted that Alan has joined the club. He has a wealth of experience in the English Championship and a good player profile."
"He will provide us with another strong defensive option as a left-sided defender. We look forward to working with Alan and seeing his development with us."
