Ruben Amorim says Ganacho has changed in every way

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has spoken highly of Argentina international Alejandro Ganacho's improved performance since he was unexpectedly left out of the Manchester City derby squad, saying the young player has changed in every aspect.

It has been seven weeks since Ganacho and fellow academy graduate Rashford were left out of the squad for the match against Manchester City, in which the Red Devils staged a dramatic comeback win.

Rashford's future remains a focus of media attention, with Amorim making it clear in his press conference before the Europa League match against Steaua Bucharest that the England striker "must make changes" and meet the requirements in order to continue staying at Old Trafford.

As the winter transfer window is about to close, Aston Villa is exploring the possibility of introducing Rashford, and Ganajao's future is also under scrutiny. However, compared to Rashford's predicament, the 20-year-old Argentine teenager seems to have responded to the failure of the Manchester derby in a completely different way.

"Since that game against Manchester City, he has changed immediately," Amorim said of Ganacho.

“He understands things better now and understands that I’m just trying to help him and just trying to win the game.”

"He has changed in every aspect - the way he communicates, the way he comes back to training."

"He understands that I am a different type of coach and that I have my own strict requirements. It may be difficult to adapt at first, but he understands that there is no malice in all this and it is all to help him improve."

"All the credit goes to Ganacho. He is growing and developing and we hope to continue to improve with him."
