Counter Strike 2: Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) reportedly considering parting ways with their rifler, ewjerkz..

HLTV, citing Portuguese online media outlet RTP Arena, exclusively reported on Saturday that the Swedish Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) is considering parting ways with their rifler, ewjerkz.

According to the report, the team's disappointing exit from the second Swiss-model group stage of the Starladder Budapest Major has prompted NIP management to consider a possible separation with ewjerkz.

The report also adds that Ukrainian rising star cairne is a potential replacement for ewjerkz.

The 23-year-old Inner Circle player has achieved a 1.20 rating this year, single-handedly propelling the Ukrainian team, formerly known as THE NEXT LEVEL (TNL)  into the spotlight.

During this period, he and 18-year-old wonderkid Dawy were considered among the most promising new generation CS2 players at the INNER CIRCLE roster and even in all of Ukraine due to their outstanding performances.

If the reports are true, this means the days of having a Portuguese representative on the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) team are coming to an end.

Earlier this year, in addition to signing ewjerkz, NIP also signed arozdoce, who performed well for SAW in 2023 and 2024.

However, after the team's elimination from PGL Astana, NIP parted ways with arozdoce.

After joining OG in August, arozdoce won the CCT Season 3 European Series 4 with the team.

The 25-year-old ewjerkz joined Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) from SAW at the beginning of the year and helped the European team significantly improve their VRS ranking, ultimately playing a key role in qualifying for the aforementioned Major. His average rating during his time with NIP was 1.08.

In addition to winning the first and second places in the Fragadelphia to accumulate VRS points, ewjerkz also helped the team reach the quarterfinals of the PGL Astana and the finals of the StarLadder Star Series Fall 2025, which are his best achievements during his time with NIP.
