Manchester United captain Fernandes: Lack of aggressiveness on the offensive end needs to be improved

Manchester United lost 2-0 at home to Crystal Palace, and captain Bruno Fernandes believes the team lacks aggression and needs to improve on that.

Although Manchester United had won three games in a row, they suffered a defeat in this game. In an interview after the game, Fernandes said: "We also discussed when we won before that if we can't win the next game, everything we have done in the past will be forgotten."

"That was the case today. Everyone knew the importance of this game and that we had to focus on the Premier League and get the three points. Everyone realised that and we had to win the game and get the points. Unfortunately, we didn't do that today."

"We lacked some aggression in the final third and failed to try more ways to score goals. We need the front players to create more chances and score more goals, and also to dare to break through one-on-one and create threats. We did have some chances, but it was far from enough."

Manchester United currently has 29 points in the Premier League and is ranked 13th in the standings. Manchester United's next game is at home against Leicester City in the FA Cup fourth round. Fernandes hopes the team will not lose focus because of the loss.

"This defeat is a setback, but we have to realise that we have done a lot of things right in the last few weeks and even today we showed some positives," Fernandez said. "As long as we stay on the right track, we can still achieve good results."
