Fnatic official: The contract with CS2 player bodyy has been terminated

European Counter-Strike 2 team Fnatic announced on Monday that it has terminated the contract with commander player bodyy.

The 28-year-old bodyy is a French professional Counter-Strike 2 player who has played for Platinium, LDLC, G2, DBL PONEY, HEET, ITB and other teams. The peak of his e-sports career was when he played for G2 from 2016 to 2019. During this period, he won four major championships with the team, including the ECS S1 Finals, the 2017 DreamHack Open Tours, the EPL S5 Finals and the 2017 DreamHack Masters Malmö.

Since joining the Fnatic team in November 2023, bodyy won the runner-up in the 2024 FireLEAGUE Global Finals and successfully qualified for the 2024 Shanghai Major. Due to unsatisfactory performance at the end of last year, he was eventually removed from the team's starting lineup.

After completing the contract termination, bodyy said in a statement: "Today marks the end of my journey with fnatic. Thank you to all the players and staff for the time we spent together and the hard work we put in. This period has been a great one for each of us. It’s never easy, but I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned along the way.”

“A special thank you to the management for their support in reaching an agreement with me to part ways. Your help has put me in a stronger position to find my next team. I still have a strong desire to win and am looking for a new team. ”

“I’ve been investing a lot of time in FACEIT over the last few weeks, rediscovering the feeling that I had been losing during the last difficult year. I wasn’t able to really perform at my best, but that chapter is now in the past. I am eager to prove myself again in a new environment."
