Unai Emery: I am very proud of the team's efforts and the players' performance.

Unai Emery expressed pride in his team's recent performances after Premier League leaders Arsenal snapped Aston Villa's 11-game winning streak. Aston Villa suffered a 1-4 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium after winning away to Chelsea on Saturday, equaling the club's 11-game winning streak.

In the North London match, the first half ended in a goalless draw, indicating a close contest. After the game, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery expressed satisfaction with his team's performance. He said, "I am very proud of the team's efforts and the players. We have now accumulated 39 points, and the team is both ambitious and grounded."

“We are gradually realizing how to unleash our potential in each game, and how to achieve and set goals. We lost today, but we played very well in the first half. In the second half, we conceded a goal, Amadou Onana was injured, and we lacked sufficient midfield support to solidify our defense.”

“Although the game became more difficult after conceding the second goal, we fought very well and did not give up. The team’s goal was to score, and we scored one goal and created a couple of close chances. Players like Jamaldin Jimo Aloba and George Hemings also had very good debuts.”

Despite the defeat, Unai Emery summarized the team's performance so far this season and expressed his hope that the players would show the determination to win in the upcoming home game against Nottingham Forest.

Unai Emery said: "We will continue to work hard. We are currently third in the league, and today is the 19th day of the season. We will continue playing on Saturday with the same mentality. We are very proud of everything the team and supporters have done for us. They have always been with us."

"Today we tried to compete with stronger teams in the league and strive to maintain a consistent performance. We played well in the first half, but our form dipped in the second half, and our opponents seized their opportunities to win the game. The Premier League is the toughest league in the world, with 17 teams vying for the top seven at the start of the season, and we have been working hard to beat some of them."

“We’ve been working hard to maintain this level of performance so far, but the challenges remain clear. We need to maintain consistent performance and high standards while remaining ambitious with our supporters. In every game, we try our best to get everyone involved and supportive of the team. Of course, we also need to support our players, putting our energy and motivation into them to help them have a great season.”
