Last August, 26-year-old Havertz was sidelined for a period of time due to a knee injury.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said, "We have been closely monitoring Kai Havertz's training load. He has been out for a long time for two reasons and is now very close to returning. He participated in training again today, and hopefully we can welcome Havertz back in the best possible condition."
