Limited-edition skins over the years: Phoenix Seeking Phoenix is a timeless classic, while Monkey King, the pioneer of the series, is at the bottom. (Part 3)

The T2 tier represents games that meet the timeframe criteria, are of average quality, and have a mediocre design with nothing particularly outstanding. They simply break through the anchor point and add a gimmick to attract players to buy them. Games are all about fun, and regardless of quality, these games genuinely provide a lot of emotional value. Take Angela's Dragon Treasure Ship, for example. Initially announced as one of the Year of the Dragon characters, it was not well-received, and the internet was full of complaints about it being out of place and not aesthetically pleasing. However, after its official release, why did it unexpectedly succeed and become a sales dark horse? It was simply because of the unforgettable "faucet" meme, which made players more engaged.
Angela's image is playful, with skills that throw fireballs that continuously burn. Now, she's been changed to a water element, and it's the only blue-themed skin in the series. How can it not be praised? The Year of the Tiger limited edition Sun Bin's Tiger Spreads Wings skin humanizes his image. This support has been playing in the Rift for many years, and his skins have become habitually mechanical. Almost no one has seen his true appearance. Thanks to the Spring Festival, the white-haired youth has been given a brand new look, and everyone is scrambling to get it.
T3: Vermilion Bird's Will, Riding the Dragon and Remembering the Crimson Painting, Ode to the Mysterious Wood of Mountains and Seas
The T3 tier can be understood as below average, meaning it's unacceptable. It's usable, but after a while, it starts to feel lackluster. When a new skin comes out, you'll be eager to replace it, ultimately relegating it to just another collectible item in your inventory. Where to begin? Purely in terms of appearance, skins like Vermilion Bird, Dragon Riding, and Mountain and Sea Mystic Wood are undeniably cool, with impressive entrance animations that catch the eye. However, in actual gameplay, the difference is stark, explaining why everyone prefers to revert to the original skin. Over time, it disappears from casual games, ranked matches, and low-elo games. It's not that no one buys it, leading to a very low usage rate, but rather that everyone has found new alternatives. From a historical perspective, it's unacceptable and receives negative reviews.
T4: Monkey King
The T4 tier is even worse; buying it is a waste of money. The appearance, effects, and feel are all subpar. The Monkey King skin is on the list, nothing to lament. It's an old skin, the first limited-edition skin, and comparing it to current epic skins is an overestimation. It's a first release, the developers clearly didn't pay much attention, just throwing together a popular jungler skin that can be exchanged for with fragments. The effects and voice lines are repetitive; besides selling nostalgia, it has no unique features. Youheng and Ruilinzhi deserve bad reviews; there's nowhere else to go.
