French CS2 team 3DMAX released a statement on Tuesday confirming the official return of former coach Damian Dufour (ID: wasiNk). He will take over the coaching duties previously held by Pierre Marco (ID: YouKnow), and will be assisted by new assistant coach Nathan Schmidt (ID: NBK-).
Before wasiNk's return, 3DMAX had gone six games without a win. As a result, they suffered consecutive defeats against CS teams such as Vitality, Falcons, M1X KS, Astralis, and HEROIC at IEM Krakow, the BLAST Rotterdam Open European Closed Qualifier, and PGL Cluj-Napoca, failing to win any of the tournaments.
In an effort to reverse its decline as quickly as possible, 3ds Max has decided to recall wasiNk from GenOne. He coached 3ds Max for a year and a half between 2024 and 2025, leading the team to a record of 207 wins and 153 losses.
Along with wasiN, 23-year-old French rifler Kevin Labier (ID: misutaaa) also joined from GenOne. He will replace Alexandre Pjanaro (ID: bodyy) in the starting lineup and travel with the team to the first stage of ESL Pro League Season 23 from March 1st to 5th.
The 23-year-old misutaaa previously played for several CS teams, including Make Your Destiny, Vitality, Falcons, Into The Breach9INE, Mercenaires, and FUT, before officially joining GenOne in September 2025. To date, he has played 133 maps and participated in 2897 rounds for GenOne, with an average rating of 1.06.
Following a series of personnel adjustments, the current 3DMAX lineup is as follows:
Commander/Rifleman: Philip Blankovic (ID: Graviti)
Sniper: Brian Kanda (ID: Maka)
Rifleman: Pierre Bollinger (ID: Ex3rcice)
Breakthroughist: Lucas Chastain (ID: Lucky)
Rifleman: Kevin Rabier (ID: misutaaa)
Head Coach: Damian Dufour (ID: wasiNk)
Assistant Coach: Nathan Schmidt (ID: NBK-)
