At the start of the first quarter, the Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a strong start, with James Harden assisting Evan Mobley and Dean Wade for points. Harden then hit a three-pointer to give his team the lead. CJ McCollum then hit consecutive shots, helping the Atlanta Hawks find their rhythm. Although the Cleveland Cavaliers actively sought opportunities to counterattack, the Atlanta Hawks maintained their lead and finished the quarter with a 27-22 advantage.

Although Jalen Tyson continued to close the gap in the final stages of the quarter, the Cleveland Cavaliers remained trailing 65-96.
Entering the fourth quarter, Craig Porter Jr. scored consecutive baskets, and Proctor also contributed some points, restoring some confidence to the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the Atlanta Hawks still found offensive opportunities.
The Atlanta Hawks ultimately defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 124-102 at home. With this victory, the Atlanta Hawks are currently ranked 5th in the Eastern Conference standings.
