Feyenoord Technical Director Dennis te Kloese to step down at the end of the season..

Feyenoord announced on their official website on Thursday that Dutch Technical Director Dennis te Kloese will step down at the end of the season.

According to Feyenoord's official statement, the management and Te Kloese made this decision together after a meeting. The club is very grateful for Te Kloese's contributions and wishes him all the best for the future.

According to Dutch media reports, it's more like a sacking than a resignation.

Feyenoord believes that since former head coach Arne Slot left to become Liverpool head coach, the club's technical development has stagnated, and even regressed in some aspects, making Te Kloese's position precarious.

Currently, Feyenoord is looking for a suitable successor to Te Kloese and will make further arrangements and announcements at the appropriate time.

Furthermore, regarding rumours which some British media outlets claimed that Te Kloese is in talks with West Ham United about taking over, Dutch media said that they cannot confirm the veracity of these claims at this stage.

Following the official announcement of his impending departure, Te Kloese said through Feyenoord's official website: "In the time remaining, I will continue to work hard, as I hope to help the club return to its best position before I leave. But I can say now that it has been an honour to serve Feyenoord. Of course, not everything has been smooth sailing, but we have made significant progress together with all my colleagues at the club."

"Now, the club has laid a solid foundation. I hope that the club and its fans can continue to develop on this foundation, including finally achieving harmony with the stadium in the near future after decades of ups and downs."

"What the future holds for me and my family remains to be seen, but in any case, I will always be proud of this time and wish Feyenoord and all Feyenoord fans all the best."

About Dennis te Kloese

The 51-year-old Te Kloese was born on August 27, 1974, in Bussum, Netherlands. As a child, he played for the youth academies of Ajax and Utrecht, but was released and could only play in non-leagues.

In 1997, Te Kloese suffered a car accident that resulted in a permanent leg injury, forcing him to retire early. After retiring, Te Kloese returned to Ajax as a scout for their youth academy.

In 2003, Te Kloese moved to Mexico, serving as a scout for Tigers UANL and Chivas Guadalajara. In 2005, he became the sporting director of Chivas USA, a sister team of Chivas Guadalajara.

In 2008, Te Kloese returned to Chivas Guadalajara as sporting director. In the summer of 2011, he was hired by the Mexican Football Federation.

During his time with the Mexican Football Federation, Te Kloese served as the organization's sporting director and director of the youth national teams. He even successfully recruited former Barcelona and Ajax legend Johan Cruyff as Chivas Guadalajara's sporting director.

In December 2018, Te Kloese was appointed general manager of the Los Angeles Galaxy.

In January 2022, Te Kloese was appointed Feyenoord's Technical Director, and in September of the following year, he also became the Dutch representative on the board of directors of the European Club Association (ECA).

As Technical Director, Feyenoord, under Te Kloese' leadership, won one Eredivisie title, one KNVB Cup title, and one Johan Cruyff Shield (Dutch Super Cup), and successfully developed stars such as Mats Wieffer, Yankuba Minteh, Santiago Giménez, Lutsharel Geertruida, Igor Paixão, Ayase Ueda, and Anies Hadj Moussa.
