Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany looks ahead to a Champions League second-leg comeback.

In the first leg of the Champions League semi-final that just concluded, Bayern Munich suffered a heartbreaking 4-5 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain away from home.

Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany and star striker Harry Kane showed no signs of discouragement in their post-match interviews, instead expressing confidence in achieving a comeback at home.

Kompany, who could only watch the game from the VIP box due to suspension, admitted that not being able to personally direct the team from the sidelines was extremely difficult for him, especially when the team was down 2-5 at one point.

"Conceding five goals away in the Champions League usually means elimination, but the chances we created and the threats we showed kept us in the game," Kompany said, praising the team's resilience in coming back from a desperate situation to score two goals.

Kompany emphasized that hesitation in a top-level match is not an option; the team must give it their all. Looking ahead to the second leg, Kompany said, "Next week we'll be back at home, playing in front of 75,000 fans. I want more, I crave that home atmosphere. At the Allianz Arena, anything can happen."

Kane, who scored the penalty in this match, became the first English player to score in six consecutive Champions League games. Surprisingly, despite his team conceding five goals in a single match, Kane still praised Bayern's defense after the game.

Kane said: "We fought hard and fought back to keep the game in suspense. We are at our best when we maintain high intensity and physicality. Next week, with the support of our home fans, we'll see who can seize the crucial moment and cross the finish line."

Despite losing the first leg by one goal, Kompany and Kane's post-match comments undoubtedly gave the entire Bayern team a shot in the arm, and everyone is looking forward to Bayern Munich's performance in the second leg.
