Alter Ego rifleman Mohammed Maljas (ID: BOROS) has been officially disqualified from the 2026 CS Asia Invitational (CAC 2026) for making racist remarks.
21-year-old BOROS is from Jordan and has played for several CS teams during his professional career, including NASR, Endpoint, Monte, Falcons, Into The Breach, Al-Ittihad, and JiJieHao. Since joining Alter Ego in March of this year, he has played 31 maps and participated in 690 rounds, with an average rating of 1.18.
Earlier this week, Boros was accused of using the racially offensive term "Ching chong" against his Chinese teammates. Following the incident, Hero Esports, the organizer of the CS:GO Asia Invitational, immediately announced a ban on Boros: "Upon verification, Boros of Alter Ego used racially offensive language during preparations for the 2026 CS:GO Asia Invitational. This action clearly violates our code of conduct and anti-discrimination regulations."
"As punishment, Boros will be banned from the 2026 CS Asia Invitational."
“We will never tolerate hate speech, racism, or any form of discrimination. We are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants and fans.”
Furthermore, Alter Ego received a formal warning from the authorities for inadequate oversight. Hero Esports also stated that further penalties may be imposed in accordance with relevant regulations.
Following the official announcement of the suspension, Alter Ego immediately issued a statement in response. In their statement, they said, "We sincerely apologize to the Chinese CS2 community for the recent incident involving our CS2 player BOROS."
"We take this matter very seriously and are currently in internal discussions with the management team to determine the appropriate arrangements. We will release an update as soon as everything is settled."
"According to the current decision of the event organizers, BOROS will not participate in the remaining events. Tomiko will replace him."
"Thank you for your understanding and continued support."
BOROS also posted a message on the X platform, publicly apologizing for his inappropriate remarks: "Hello everyone. My recent remarks were inappropriate and left a racist impression, which was by no means my intention. I apologize to everyone affected, especially my Chinese friends, and I will pay more attention to my words and actions in the future."
