The reason given was an on-court altercation between the two players during Game 6 of the first round of the playoffs.

Late in the second quarter of Game 6 , the two players got into a physical altercation during a free throw attempt, which escalated into a heated exchange. Although referees and teammates quickly separated the two, Robinson continued to chase Daniels, causing the conflict to escalate further.

 

Following the game, the league confirmed the penalties: Robinson was fined $50,000, and Daniels was fined $25,000. The league specifically noted in its statement that Robinson's fine was increased because he posted inappropriate content related to the incident on social media after the game.
