In the 35th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, Leeds United defeated Burnley 3-1 at home. They are currently ranked 14th with a record of 10 wins, 13 draws and 12 losses, accumulating 43 points, and are 9 points above the relegation zone with one game played.

Burnley's relegation is now a foregone conclusion; after this defeat, they sit second-to-last in the Premier League with 20 points.

Facing already relegated Burnley, Leeds United took the initiative from the start. In the 8th minute, Yaka Bijol delivered a low cross from midfield, and Anton Stach scored with a long-range shot to break the deadlock for Leeds United. In the 10th minute, Leeds United won a free kick on the left side of the attacking third, but Stach's curling shot went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Maxim Esteve cleared the ball with a long kick inside the penalty area, but the ball deflected off James Justin and bounced towards his own goal before being collected by Martin Dubravka.

After the break, Leeds United continued to dominate the game. In the 52nd minute, Jaden Bogle delivered a decisive cross from the right side of the penalty area, and Noah Okafor finished off the attack to extend their lead to 3-0. In the 56th minute, Tanaka Ao's long-range shot from the edge of the box forced Dubravka to parry the ball, and Dominique Calvert-Lewin capitalized on the rebound to score, making it 3-0.

After that, Burnley, trailing by three goals, began to fight back. In the 68th minute, Zian Fleming delivered a cross from the center of the penalty area, and Basil Humphries' shot was parried away by Carl Dalot. Lucas Pires immediately followed up and scored, but his goal was ruled offside by both the linesman and VAR.

In the 71st minute, Jaden Anthony delivered a diagonal pass from midfield, and Lum Chauna broke into the penalty area, created space, and fired a shot into the net. Neither side managed to score again, and the final score remained 3-1.
