Chelsea and Tottenham do not need to adjust their European schedules, UEFA makes an exception

According to the Daily Mail, UEFA originally stipulated that if two teams share the same stadium, are located in the same city, or are within 50 kilometers of each other, they cannot play on the same day. However, after Chelsea and Tottenham advanced to the round of 16 of the Europa League and the UEFA League respectively, UEFA decided to make an exception and allow the two teams to play at home in London on March 13 at the same time, even though the two teams' stadiums are about 16 kilometers apart.

This season has been quite dramatic for Chelsea and Tottenham, and both are expected to compete for the championship in their respective European competitions. Now that the games do not need to be rescheduled, it is undoubtedly a good thing for the two Premier League teams.

In the Europa League round of 16, Tottenham will face either AZ Alkmaar or Real Sociedad, while Chelsea's UEFA Europa League opponents will be decided between Real Betis and Copenhagen.

The draw ceremonies for the two competitions will be held this Friday, with the Europa League draw starting at 20:00 Beijing time and the UEFA Champions League draw following immediately at 21:00.
