The Japanese Olympic Committee officially announced on its official website on Thursday that games such as League of Legends, Honor of Kings and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) will be the titles included in the e-sports events of the 2026 Asian Games.

This will also be the second time that the Asian Games has officially announced and confirmed that e-sports events will be added after the 2023 edition, and it also feedbacks to the International Olympic Committee's announcement that it will co-organize the first Olympic E-sports Games with the organizers of the E-sports World Cup in 2027.

The 2026 Asian Games will be the 20th edition in history. At that time, this top sporting event in Asia will be hosted in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City, Japan between September and October 2026.
