Beşiktaş announced on its official website on Wednesday that the club has appointed former Borussia Dortmund German Head of Scout Eduard Graf as its new Technical Director and Head of Scout.
According to the Turkish Süper Lig giants' official statement, Graf had already flown to Istanbul on March 3 to inspect all the facilities of Beşiktaş, and his signing ceremony was completed a few days later. He will officially take office from now on.
About Eduard Graf
Eduard Graf, 35, was born in Olede, Germany on June 1, 1989. He has never had a professional career as a football player, but he is a UEFA qualified professional coach.
Graf served as an assistant coach of Arminia Bielefeld's U19s team from 2009 to 2011, and later served as an assistant coach of Osnabrück U19s team from 2011 to 2013.
In July 2013, Graf moved to Borussia Dortmund as an assistant coach for its U19s team, but two years later he moved to behind-the-scenes and work as a scout and public relations officer.
In September 2022, Graf was appointed as Borussia Dortmund's Head of Scout.
During his tenure, Graf successfully discovered and signed German internationals such as Maximilian Bayer, Waldemar Anton, and Felix Nmecha, and was also one of the biggest contributors to bringing Jadon Sancho back to the club on-loan.
However, due to differences in ideas nda complete fallout with BVB's Managing Director Lars Ricken, Graf parted ways with the Bundesliga giants in November 2024.
