Mateus Cunha: Bournemouth played very well and we are happy to get the win

Although Mateus Cunha believes Wolves were lucky against Bournemouth, the player was still happy to score a very important goal and take the three points away from home.  

Cunha, who has scored against Aston Villa, Blackburn and Liverpool in recent weeks, felt the red card given to Ilya Zabani was unfair despite his goal giving Wolves their sixth Premier League win of the season. Wolves should have done more to win the game with more than an hour to spare.  

After the game, Mateus Cunha said: "It was a difficult game for us. Bournemouth have been doing very well throughout the season and we knew when we came here we had to play against them smartly and do the important things to win this game."  

"We were lucky because I think the defender was a bit unlucky with the move. But, it can happen and we are happy with the win. It is more difficult when playing against one less player and we knew we needed to be smarter."  

"But sometimes I thought we didn't do the important things, like staying in position, being smart and passing the ball. We worked hard in this game and luckily, we won the game. I didn't think we played very well, but we did what we needed to do to win the game."  

"For a striker, it is very important to keep scoring and making assists. I scored, but I don't think it is the most important point now, because the most important point is the three points."  

"Our situation has changed and we had a lot of time to enjoy the moment, but we need to keep working hard and moving forward. I'm very happy because this goal helped us to get an important victory."
