Van Dijk calls on team to use home advantage to strive for excellence

Liverpool captain Van Dijk talked about the team's pursuit of the championship in an interview, and hoped that the team would make good use of the home advantage to strive for outstanding performance and results in the future.

Liverpool beat defending champions Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League earlier in the season thanks to goals from Salah and Soboslai.

After 3 wins and 2 losses in the last 5 rounds, Liverpool currently ranks first in the standings with 64 points, and is 11 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal with one game to play.

In addition, Liverpool will play seven of their remaining 11 Premier League games this season at Anfield, including the next round against Newcastle.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk said: "It is normal to have some anxiety, and it may happen again, but I think it will help us and the fans and make Anfield a scary place for opponents."

"We do that the majority of the time and the way we play obviously helps with that. How many home games are left? Seven of the 11 are at home. Let's make sure those seven are exceptional games and make the stadium as crazy as possible. I don't think it even needs to be emphasized because it's the norm."

It is worth mentioning that Liverpool finally defeated Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium after 10 years.
