RB Leipzig had thier lead overturned and lost 1-2 to Mainz 05 on matchday 24 of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season at the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.

In the first half, Simons scored shortly after the start of the game to give Leipzig a good start. However, with Amiri and Burkhardt scoring in the second half, the home team's advantage was overturned and lost again with the final score ends at 1-2. After this matchday, Leipzig is temporarily 6th on the table with 38 points, and missed the chance to close the gap on Champions League places again; Die Nullfünfer who are in great form this season are temporarily 4th with 41 points.

First Half

Mainz missed another golden opportunity to score!
