Domantas Sabonis will miss a week after suffering a grade 1 left hamstring strain during the Sacramento Kings' 113-103 win over the Houston Rockets.
Just one minute into the game, Sabonis felt a sudden pain in the upper part of his left leg while he was in a fast break without any confrontation. Sabonis then signaled to return to the court and did not return.
Later, the Sacramento Kings issued a statement saying that Sabonis underwent an MRI yesterday and confirmed that the injury was a grade 1 strain of the left hamstring. Sabonis needs to rest for a week before updating his injury.
As a result, Sabonis will miss the Sacramento Kings' next three games, against the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs.
This season, Sabonis has played 56 times for the Sacramento Kings, averaging 19.5 points, 14.1 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game, and is one of the team's core players.
Currently, the Sacramento Kings have 31 wins and 28 losses in the NBA Western Conference, ranking 9th. Recently, the Sacramento Kings have won 4 consecutive games. If they keep up the form, the Sacramento Kings will smoothly enter the play-offs and compete for the last place in the playoffs.
